| Golf is one of the fastest growing hobbies in
Ireland and with the Ryder cup due to be staged at the K club in 2006 this
trend is set to continue.
For the golfing enthusiast there can be few locations of equal, with 22 courses available within a 40 mile radius of Coolamon Guests, including a number right on our doorstep: Athlone, Mount Temple and the Christy O'Connor designed, Glasson golf club. For those who prefer the shorter game, there is a public pitch and putt course less than 400 yards from our door. Below, for your benefit, is a list of all these courses and a number more that are a bit further a field. Both 18 and 9 hole courses are listed with green fees where available.
